Called technically a Rose Bead, these oldies from Japan, 1950, are thus called because the design is a sculpted rose. These are smoky topaz or rootbeer color. They are translucent and bear the white swirls you see in them, whilst the others don't but each has its own different pattern. Measure 13mm. Sold in lots of 12 for $18.00. Order #2549.

They look sort of like leaves, they are very pale, sometimes the 'veins' are white, and sometimes they are not. Sometimes they look a little green, and sometimes they don't. We don't even know where they came from, we have no history data on them other than "1940's". The only thing we are certain of is that they measure 13x15mm. Sold in lots of 12 for $10.50. This has to be the most complicated bead you ever have seen, or will see. Ever. I think every color there is can be found in this bead, about the only thing I can tell you for sure is that the ribbon of glass that is wound around each one is something on the order of topaz in color, not that it matters much, it really has no major effect on anything one way or the other. Pretty old bead from Japan, 1950 in a shade of dark cranberry. Of course, as cranberries are indigenous to North America and not Japan, makes you wonder. Measures 8x11mm and classifies as a button bead, although some call it by another bead. Will not roll off the work table, offering two views, the side and the interfaces. Original color 10mm and 8mm MOTHER-OF-PEARL. What you usually
see around is the white one, actually the NATURAL COLOR is this caramel color. These were cut in Japan
in 1946, we have two sizes here, 8mm and 10mm both round. M-O-P is a semiprecious item and finding any semiprecious in
