Called yellow jasper even though it is brown, this is a tear drop set in sterling with a garnet accent stone at the top. The drop itself is flexible so the bail is fixed, otherwise it would be too messy and never face the right way. Style number sw007. .

Moss agate with a touch of obsidian, not a common find. Pendant set in Sterling of course. Fairly large piece, just about three inches long. Perfect green for that perfect look in large. Moss agate is not found that often with obsidian, usually garnet is found with obsidian, so when some came on the market it was grabbed up pretty quickly. Large flexible bail. Unique piece. Style number sw016. .

This pendant sort of matches the bracelet above, definitely from the same workshop! Would make an amazing statement coupled with an amazing dress. Imagine it hanging from jet and crystal Swarovski with a touch of Ruby thrown in. Or pearls perhaps? You won't find this sort of thing in any dress shop, that is for sure! If you resell your creations, this type of pendant will give you a name second to none. And if you wear it yourself, no one will forget you that is certain! The opening on the bail will take up to 10mm of beads, which means one ten mm strand or two 5mm strands or three 3mm strands...you get the idea. This is style number SN12 and it is sold for $225. Want two? Go persuade my wife to part with hers!!! I never told her about the bracelet! Well, there is a limit to that 'till death do us part' stuff you know! Hand decorated in cloisonne and set with a huge hand carved cinnebar stone.

This is another unique bracelet, a snake bracelet! The head and tail are coated in 24k Gold Vermeil whilst the rest is natural silver. Springy type, it is flexible and will fit any arm between 6 1/2 -7". Probably also smaller but I would not venture larger. From another era. Style number ss127b is sold for $90 the piece. It would be my guess that the last time you bought a West Indian style silver bracelet, it was 15 bucks but that was when silver was $3 an ounce! Nowadays it is well above $25 an ounce so the value of this bracelet is surely there. In fact proportionately speaking, that $15 bracelet would sell today for about $155! I have but two of these for sale, the last of a species.

This is a very interesting item. I am always on the lookout for oddball things and I found this at an auction of the contents of a ship that sank in 1840. These pieces (there are only 4) came from dinner plates found smashed aboard the ship when it was salvaged about 20 years ago. We were able to salvage the designs, they vary of course, on these small pieces, the rest of the plates were destroyed. The settings had to be hand made of course to fit each one. The original origin of the porcelain was unknown, some guessed Great Britain and others said probably Japan. Were these the plates the Captain and the Officers on the ship ate from, or were they part of the cargo being carried back when the ship ran into a hurricane and sank? No way to know for sure as the manifest of the ship carried an entry about porcelain plates but no description of them. But they survived quite well for being under salt water for 150 years wouldn't you say? Each one has a little hole in it, the purpose of that is also unknown but it was only near the hole that we could even get these small pieces to use. One fellow at the auction said the small holes were proof they were plates for the crew, the holes would allow them to be anchored by a pin so that they would not slide around during meals in rough seas. But for sure, we just don't know. One thing is sure, these are real conversation starters! Bail is fixed, Limited to 1 per customer. The Style number sn17.

Druzy is a type of quartz that is highly crystallized on the inside. It is found deep inside mines, brought to the surface, and when the pieces are polished often some part breaks open and shows the crystallized inside. Similar to geodes but much more crystallized. You will never find two the same. Never. The color varies by which impurities, also called "deposits", are in the quartz itself and the deposits impart the color to them. The formation of the tiny crystals occurs after molten rock begins to quickly cool, trapping gasses within it as it solidifies. The trapped gasses cause crevices and cavities in the cooling rock. Nutrient-rich groundwater later flows through these gaps and crevices, depositing layer after layer of minerals which crystallize on top of each other. The resulting encrustation is called druzy . This process doesn't take days or weeks, but a few thousand years. Colored druzy gemstones were made in nature by the depositing of different minerals, which give them their unique colors of blue, pink, lemon yellow, turquoise or blue. Druzy gets it glitzy looks thanks to a process known as vapor-coating or vapor-deposition. Vapor-coating begins in a vacuum chamber. The high-karat gold (or platinum, titanium or silver) is converted to a vapor and then mixed with oxygen. The gold-oxygen vapor settles on the crystals of the druzy and bonds with them at the molecular level. It is advised to never put Druzy near hair spray, perfume, or deodorant as these can damage the vapor coating and therefore destroy the beauty. Druzy pendants are in limited supply as the basic materials sporadically come onto the market, thus we got them when we could. Style number varies with color so use the menu to see which is which. They are all one price, $159, and are sold final sale.mounted in Sterling Silver.
