Angel Skin Coral is a natural substance produced by an animal in the South Pacific Region. As it has been "mined" significantly, it is now on the endangered species list and it has not been legal to bring it into the USA since the late 60's. It is however, legal to sell it IF it was here before the ban. I found this cache of Genuine Angel Skin mixed in the inventory of my Vintage Glass Beads. It is very rare, do a search on the internet and see how much information you can garner about Angel Skin, or even how many dealers have it for sale. I think you will be surprised to find that only a few jewelers offer it for sale, and NONE offer it in unfinished form (like these beads). There are a few cameos available, but mostly the internet is devoid of this item. I offer you the same challenge with retail stores: try to find this item for sale in any form. As such, ANY thing you make using Angel Skin will command a very high price. A full strand of matched 12mm blush beads (blush means with a significant amount of pink), set with a 14K gold clasp, would retail somewhere in the neighborhood of $25,000....IF you could find one!! I have them in sizes 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 11mm, and 12mm. You can buy all sizes to make a graduated necklace, mixed with Swarovski in Crystal, Montana, Rose or even Vitrail and you would have a stunning piece indeed!! I sell them by size. Buy what you want. My stock is on loose strings, orders will be pulled off AS THEY COME. Color varies from white to deep pink. A SINGLE BEAD has no significance, the beauty of this item is in putting together something that allows the gradations of color to infuse and progress. All beads are "B" quality, there never was an "A" quality available, that material was reserved exclusively for use in clasps and earrings.
