These are the rarest of the rare.

Most people do not know that Swarovski also made beads without facets. When you hold these in your hand, you know they are Swarovski, they have the "feel". This color was called Ruby Quartz, the style number was 6008, if anyone you know has an old catalog from them days you can find it in there. Teardrops, 10x6mm, sold in lots of 12 for $24. This is a wonderful bead, NO ONE ever made tears this way except Swarovski. The hole runs through the bead at the top, it is EAST TO WEST, not North to South as you might expect, and therefore all you need do is attach a jumpring and you can use it any way you want to, it is not limited. You can put between "regular" beads for a unique look that no other bead can attain. That is all I tell you, other design tricks will cost you! They are so well polished, smooth, that you will think they have oil on them when you touch them. Note the striations in the beads. Also, they are TRANSLUSCENT!! Order item # BDVN-6131.

Article 364 in the now defunct, and long time defunct, Ruby Quartz configuration. This type of bead was not made for very long, it was a complicated process and I have heard it said that Swarovski actually lost money on it. They are beautiful to say the least and you will find very few of this type left. In the tears we had sapphire and emerald as well as the ruby, now all that remains is the ruby. In the bicone, this one, we still have the ruby and the emerald but that is purely an accident, we did not offer them because they were MIA for a long time..showed up recently when we re-arranged some stock and found them behind.
