I like to think of these old German beads as Strawberry and Cream, in a clear bowl. Well, at my age there is not much else to think about besides eating ;-}. They are 11mm and somewhat cubey shaped but more on the order of lump shaped as they were each and every one of them, made by hand in 1949. A blue heart! Caused no doubt by a lack of oxygen, such as found in high mountainous places. Made in Japan, 1953, a country not known for its overabundance of oxygen which might explain the color of these pieces. Especially in 1953 when they used to import oxygen. Or so I have been told. Import oxygen, export sushi. I am not a big fan of sushi, to me it tastes like raw fish. They measure 18mm , hearts are generally measured in only one dimension, in case you did not know that.
