Big COBALT blue inside a clear bead, from West Germany 1951. 16mm lumpadicious bead, which means it is not round exactly, but sort of. So they roll and wobble but do not go off in all directions, like under the couch, they stop when the inertia is exhausted. The cobalt appears to glow inside of them, this is an illusion in certain types of light, it is not prevalent in all types of light. Just think of the cobalt and the rest will be extra when it shows up. Sold in lots of lots of 12 pcs for $18. Order # BD-VN7059 .

White Czech bead with baby blue stripe, these measure 14mm and are sold in lots of 12 for $9.00. Color matches the ones below, so use your imagination. Order # BDVN7122

Beautiful Aqua/Teal inclusion in an otherwise clear bead. This is one of those ones you must see in person, it is quite the knockout. It was made in Japan in 1948, measures about 11mm and the shape you can see. That is why we use pictures. Sold in lots of 12 for $9.60 Order # BDVN7054

Here are the green ones, sort of a dark Emerald green. You can see the Gold in these a little better as there is more contrast between the green and the gold. Same price. Same size, 12mm..1/2" if you prefer. Order# BD-VN1368.

Chinelles

These are called "Chinelles". They are not called "Chanels", Chanels are a family of designers in France, the most famous is Coco Chanel. They are not called "Channels", Channels are those things you watch on TV, or swim from England to France in. These are Chinelles. They are made of facetted Swarovski Crystals (the facets are on BOTH sides of the stones) set in a bezel (a bezel is a frame set around a stone ) and this particular group is 9mm round. At each end is a loop so they can be easily attached to, and become part of, anything you dream up. They work particularly well with chain, but can also be used with threads which is a little more work. Chinelles are very popular as I am sure you know. These date back to 1935.

We also have a similar group with SINGLE LOOPS, perfect for hanging off a chain around the collar bone. the single looped ones are 7mm round. Illustrated in the Jet, but we have crystal and sapphire also available.This is a vintage look that is always popular. Sold in the same colors as the double loop ones, and at the same price. Millifiore Japanese barrels, big ones, two colors, white or red. They also have that nice little stripe in them which adds more character, takes 'em out of the realm of common...they sure knew how to make beads in them days, sure did! Uunusual buttons (disks) with a gorgeous embedment in them of assorted color foils, unlike anything you have ever seen. These are West German and date back to the late 40's. Although you see this bead here in three colors, do not get the impression that there are tons of these floating around, especially since we posted this the only one left is the pink one. These are rare lampwork Czech beads from another era. They all have that little rose thingamajig INSIDE them, it is not on the surface...sold by color in lots of 2 pcs for $10.50..not common, and they do scream "vintage" (hold them to your ear when you get them, if you squeeze them just so, you can hear them scream). They are VERY LONG also, they measure 12X20 mm, which is 4/5 of an inch, but who's counting? Perfect ovals, perfect beads..perfect beauty. Pink is the only one left. Did I mention that already?
