Pretty little flower beads work well together, by color or mixed in as a good sized spacer. These are Japanese and were made in 1955, they measure 6mm more or less as they are all hand made. However, we are currently sold out of the blue and green. Only have red one left. Sold in lots of 100 pcs for $18.
Obviously an ancient bead but in the ruby/Lt. emerald configuration. Same price, all the same. No need to rehash the history, if you weren't paying attention to the original above you won't pay attention here either. These are the German versions of the colors and do not necessarily match the Swarovski versions with the same name. But it is hard to tell even when they are near each other. But be forewarned, there will be a written test and anyone who fails will learn the meaning of "the wrath of the King" as stated by Shakespeare when he was around (before last week)! Six pcs, $18. This is one of the oddest beads we have come across so far. It is actually rubber coated (or something like that)! But it IS glass, we shattered one to be sure. Many surface finishes are just not possible with glass and a lot of finishes were experimented with during the high bead popularity of the late 30's-50'. Obviously this is one of those odd ones. The bead measures 13mm, is somewhat lump shaped and a deep green (Kind of resembles my mother in law a bit when we took her fishing). Yet it remains transluscent. Lattice work clasps from the late '30's. These are 2-row clasps, which means they will accomodate 2 strands of beads, either 6, 7 or 8mm. 6mm is best. Each stone is set by hand in an open-work half dome setting. The white is a 3-row clasp. You can either sew the thread directly on to the loop OR attach using a tip.

Fluted ovals from West Germany c. 1949, these green beads have a pearlescent sheen on the surface. About 14X9mm. These are sold in lots of 9 pcs at the very reasonable price of $15.00 per lot!! Order Item# BDS-VN201.
A nice group of Austrian OVALS, from 1948. They are not all the same size, some are 6X4 and some are 5X3mm. These are GREAT spacer beads, or can be used for whatever you see in them. They are ALL FACETTED, and being ovals rather than round, will add a lot of dimension and length to your works. The colors and sizes are as follows:

Rare Swarovski Pendants
Although they do not look transparent, these yellow beads are. Actually they are clear with the yellow at one side, and they are pearlized. That is what confuses the camera..it tends to spread the yellow too much. Well, if you like yellow then they are perfect. If green is your thing, then these won't help you. 8mm round. Old Japanese beads from 1949, white striations clear in the picture because it shows well on a black background.
