Similar to the Navy color ones, I do not think these came from the same era. Actually I found them more than a year apart, in vastly different sections of our bead caverns. Had they been from the same period, they would have been together in the inventory. Any way, the size is the same, 9mm, but the color, obviously, is different. Order # BD-VN17 for a lot of 6 pcs at $18 per lot.

Classic assortment of American Beads, even made in the USA in the early 50's, these were all together in one bin, White, Red and classic Navy Blue. Measure 8X6mm in a pentagonal shape. A lot can be done with these if you have the creative touch as they are not symmetrical and can be utilized to that advantage. Sold in lots: A lot consists of 12 of each color, total 36 beads, for $18. Order# BD-VN1031.

Japanese imitataion Turquoise, more towards the greener turquoise side than the blue one. Real Turquoise can be found in many colors, green..blue...there is even a white one. The greener ones come from the Southwest of the USA and Mexico, the blue ones come from the Far East and Africa. This is an imitation of the greenish ones. It is 6mm roundish, a bit on the lump shape side. We sell in lots of 12 pcs for $8. Order # BD-VN1390 .

Competition on the airlines seems to be heating up these days!

A very interesting bead with a lot of history behind it. These are called "Cat's Eye' Beads because of the little white stripe that runs around the bead. But actually, although it is of course stationary in the picture, in "real life" it MOVES AROUND with the light!! You must look close at this bead, one side is dark brown and the other light brown. Between them is the band of light, the Cat's Eye. Originally made by the West German's to simulate TIGER EYE, which was a hot item then, the cat's eye bead caught on and became an item in it's own right. Unlike the imports that bleed the eye into the rest of the bead, the eye stays clean and independant in this original product. These are 6mm rounds. Sold in lots of 6 pcs for $9 per lot. Order # BDVN728, and put some real life into your work.

One of our rarer beads. We are not sure of the country of origin, someone spilled coffee on the label and it is not readable. Coffee had sugar in it, I checked. Also had a lot of dust in it. Some people! Sold in lots of 2 for $16, one of the rarest original vintage beads on the planet. Measures 9mm. Grey with a blood red inclusion following the lines of the bead. Somewhat heart shaped, of course it could also be the petrified heart of some alien from another planet..but I am not getting into that now. # BDVN233D.

Coffee colored ovals from Japan, pretty light brown with swirls of darker brown encircling. C. 1947. And you thought they only made tea over there! Sold in lots of 4 pcs for $15 item # BD-VN110E.

Three colors in a 9X12mm cone shaped bead. From Italy, the Avante factory, same dudes who made the carnival beads I believe. Composition of the glass is the same, which leads me to that conclusion. Sold by color. Now, what may look to you like black, is actually dark purple, I have noted that in different browsers it looks different. The other two, blue and pink, are about the same in most browsers. Sold in lots of 4, by color, for $6. Number BDVN520.

Crumb beads from Japan c. 1946, the pink are 8mm and the green are 9mm. Other colors coming soon! Haha..fat chance! Sold in lots of 9 pcs for $10, # BD-VN48 for pink and BD-VN-151 for green.

Nice little Czechoslovakian pressed glass spearmint leaves. Circa 1950, nice ice blue, teal blue, wheat your choice! Pearlescent finish. $7 per 8 pcs. Item #BDVN150. Green for pouting only as it is sold out, as is the wheat.

Basic imitation Turquoise beads, these have a darker blue encircling them. Quite pretty, measure 10mm round. Japan 1948. Sold in lots of 8 pcs for $9 per lot. BDVN240.

West German in origin, from the late 40's, these bright colored ovals measure 9X6mm. Hard to find the candy colors in glass, ESPECIALLY vintage glass. Remember that song Mellow Yellow?
