Two almost identical beads from old Czechoslovakia, earthtone swirls. The larger measures 16mm and the smaller measures 12mm. These are not round in the sense of a ball being round, they are more like buttons, in fact they are called button beads. A little flatter than balls. The larger ones have more brown in them, so they sort of work out well together. The smaller ones are $10 a dozen and the larger ones are $12/dz. Buy both or buy one or buy the other or buy more of one than the other or whatever you want to do. The larger are #BDVN5336 and the smaller are #BDVN5331. They are going to vary ever so slightly in circumference because each one was made by hand. Not noticeable and if I never said anything you would never know.
A paler group of the same ilk as the ones above, in the tawny range as opposed to the other. Saying anymore would be redundant, repetitive and it would sound as though I am repeating myself. Repeating myself. So that is all I will say on the matter, you will just have to go forth with this meager information and make an adult decision as to what you want to do from here. They all vary as you can see, if your eyes are open. Measure 8x12mm and are sold in lots of 12 for $8.50. Made in Japan, 1953.Order # BDVN2585.
From the same school, in a sweet blue teal color, these measure 8x10mm, they are tear shaped and are sold in lots of 12 for $8.00 . They all vary also as you can see. Made in Japan, 1953.Order # BDVN2588.
Another Imperial Jade green bead from...Japan, 1951. Sold in lots of 12 for $9. Item # BDS-VN-690b
Phenomenal bead from Japan, year unknown. Measures 6mm it is actually octagon shaped. I would like to call it a window bead but I know it is not, although it looks like one. The bead itself is clear and there is a scarabee type finish on the ends which extends to the sides and henceforth throws off all sorts of colors. A bead that you use sparingly or intermittantly or both at the same time! This variety is available in a few other designs, or shapes/colors as it were. Click Here To See Them. This one, the 6mm, is sold out. They were all Made by White Snake, a factory known for quality in mfr and design.
Japanese green millifiore style oval, measures 8x12mm. Semi translucent too! Semi means partly. Sold in lots of 12 for $8. Order# BDVN2591.
Jet black flattened round bead from Japan, 1951. Measures 12mm, half an inch, good size, not too small and not too big. Wrapped in a ribbon of deep coral colored whatever that is, the stripe rises above the surface of the bead giving it dimension and character. Sold in lots of 12 for $10 or buy a dozen and get them for ten dollars. Good deal, good bead. Order# BDVN5303.
Small barrel, measures 9x7mm and hails from Italy circa 1950. Floral type but when you get close and down and dirty, there are actually no flowers involved, one of those things that deceives the eye and clouds the mind. Devious little devils! These are sold in lots of 12 for $12.00. Order #BDVN5305.
