Black flattened rounds with purpley/pink whirlwinds creating havoc around the outside of the bead. Specially priced at 12 pcs for $10.80, Measures 11mm. Order # BDVN4216.
Basically these are 11mm cobalt rounds. Made in Japan. No longer made anywhere, as cobalt use in bead production was banned long time ago. There are dark blue beads about but cobalt, if you want it, is only available in vintage now. So here they are, for awhile anyway. Sold in lots of 12 pcs for $11.50 Order # BDN5442.
Pale pink, sort of a dirty grey pink, translucent square shape bead with a square of gold foil on one end. Measure 10mm on all sides which has a lot to do with them being square. Strangely, they are not cubes as you might suspect as they are on sort of an angle in relation to the hole that runs through them. Made in Czechoslovakia in 1939, not a huge amount still extant. Remember measles beads? Oh, excuse me, before your time right? These are the original old German measles beads from 1952, measure 12mm and based in milk glass. So far all we found are these blue ones, probably all there are too. Sold in lots of 12 for $10. Order# BDVN5443.
Original universals. Know why they are called universals? Because when they made these in 1951 they made them to represent the universe. Easy enough, you probably would have figured that out yourself, sooner or later. Look into one closely, moons, stars, planets, asteroids, little green men, polar ice caps .....it is all there.
