Do not confuse these with what some call "sugar beads". These are not sugar beads!. This is called a "micro bead" and it was an interesting process in manufacture. After the beads were made they were heated to just under melting, the beads were then rolled in smaller clear glass beads which themselves had been heated. The result was that the smaller beads adhered to the surface of the larger and have that glittery look. They are very rare and not seen often. We have several colors but not many of any one, nor many of any at all for that matter. Sold by color, # BD-VN251+color. FOUR colors, the purple one is long sold out. From Japan, 1950, they measure approximately 11mm round. Sold by color, 2 pcs $10.
